Wine Restaurant & Bar

You Don't Need a Wine Bar for an Extraordinary Wine List

Some of the best wine lists in Dublin aren't in wine bars. They're in restaurants that take drinks as seriously as they take food.

At Urban Brewing, we've built a list of almost 400 wines from around the world, Old World and New World, organic, biodynamic and natural, by the glass and by the bottle. Served in the atmospheric vaulted cellars of Stack A Restaurant, where the setting is as considered as the list itself.

If you're a wine lover looking for somewhere to eat and drink well in Dublin's IFSC, this is your place.

Almost 400 Wines | One of Dublin's Best Wine Lists

Our wine list spans almost 400 bottles from across the Old World and New World. France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Greece, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, the United States and beyond.

You'll find crisp Chablis and elegant Burgundy, structured Barolo and silky Barbaresco, mineral-driven Riesling and vibrant Albariño, rich Brunello di Montalcino and complex Amarone. And for those who like to explore further, the list goes deep into natural wine, organic wine and biodynamic wine, all clearly marked on the menu.

It's a list that takes wine seriously, without taking itself too seriously. You'll always find something worth drinking, whatever your budget or preference.

Wine by the Glass at Urban Brewing

Not every evening calls for a full bottle. Our wines by the glass selection offers 6 whites and 9 reds, rotating to reflect what's drinking well at any given time, sourced from producers who care about what goes into the glass as much as what goes on the label.

Whether you're working your way through a few different glasses over dinner or settling on one favourite to carry through the evening, our team are always happy to talk you through what's pouring well.

Old World & New World | Something for Every Palate

Old World Highlights
From the chalky minerality of a Sancerre to the earthy depth of a Chianti Classico, the structure of a Barolo from Piedmont or the finesse of a Burgundy, our Old World selection covers the classic regions in depth, with bottles that reward attention.

Particular highlights include our Italian selection, Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello di Montalcino, Amarone and Etna Rosso all feature and our French list, which covers Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône, Alsace and Champagne with genuine breadth.

New World Highlights
For those who lean toward the New World, our list covers Napa Valley Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Argentine Malbec, Chilean Carménère and more. Including some genuinely special bottles from producers like Cakebread in Napa Valley.

Natural, Organic & Biodynamic Wine Dublin

A growing part of our list is dedicated to natural, organic and biodynamic wines, producers who work with minimal intervention, respect the land and let the terroir speak for itself. All wines of this type are clearly marked on our menu with the relevant symbols, making it easy to find what you're looking for if natural wine is your thing.

If you're looking for natural wine bars in Dublin or a restaurant with a serious organic wine selection, Urban Brewing is worth a visit.

Rare & Special Bottles

For those looking for something truly special, our list includes a selection of rare and aged wines that go well beyond the everyday. A few highlights:

A 1999 Estate Argyros Vinsanto from Santorini — one of Greece's most extraordinary dessert wines, aged for decades in barrel. A 2002 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance from South Africa — one of the world's most celebrated sweet wines, with a history stretching back to Napoleon. A 2015 Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino from Tuscany — organic, powerful and built to last. A 2019 Giulia Negri Barolo La Tartufaia from Piedmont — one of the rising stars of Barolo.

These are the kind of bottles that deserve a proper occasion. Or that create one.

The Setting | Stack A Restaurant

A great wine deserves a great setting. Stack A Restaurant, downstairs at Urban Brewing, sits inside 200-year-old vaulted cellars in the historic CHQ Building on Custom House Quay, stone arches, warm lighting and one of Dublin's most extensive wine lists waiting to be explored.

It's one of the most atmospheric places to drink wine in Dublin. The kind of space where a glass of Burgundy tastes better simply because of where you're sitting.

Beyond Stack A, wine is available throughout the venue, at the ground-level bar, the Vault Bar and the terrace, so however you prefer to enjoy it, there's a space for it.

Wine & Food | Menus Built for Great Bottles

Wine is only as good as what you eat alongside it. Our evening menu at Stack A Restaurant is built around sharing plates and carefully crafted mains using locally sourced, seasonal Irish ingredients, the kind of food that pairs naturally with a great bottle rather than fighting it.

Whites work brilliantly alongside our fresh fish dishes and lighter plates. Reds find their match in our more robust mains.

Lunch is served Monday to Friday, weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and dinner every evening.
